Smoothies…..

Hello Everybody,

I try and have a smoothie a day. For me, it’s a great way to have my five fruit or vege a day in a different way. I’ll write below a couple of my favourite smoothie recipes that I’ve been loving these last few months. The best thing about a smoothie, is that you can pretty much put in anything you want!

This smoothie I’ve been having for the last few weeks and I love it. Mango is definitely my favourite fruit, so this in a smoothie is a winner for me! (all of these are dairy free and gluten free recipes)

This is my favourite smoothie at the moment! The colour looks a bit weird but it tastes amazing!

For this smoothie, you will need….

  • 1  cup of mango
  • 2 cups of almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of barley grass powder

**added extras; chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, cacao powder.

Always add the fruit first, this way you know how much to liquid you will need to add. If you prefer to have a thick smoothie, use less liquid. If you are adding powder to your smoothie, add at the end, once both liquid and fruit are in. If you add it at the beginning the powder might get stuck at the bottom and not blend in properly 🙂

Barley Grass powder: Deep alkaliser.
The barley grass powder works to rebalance an overactive acidic system with powerful detoxifiers. It’s very good for cleansing your body of all the toxins 🙂

 

Other smoothie recipes I love!

Berry and chocolate

  • 1 cup of mixed berries (frozen or fresh)
  • Almond milk (as much as you would like)
  • 1 tsp of chia seeds
  • 1 tsp pumpkin seeds (soaked to blend properly)
  • 1 tsp-1tb of cacao powder
  • little bit of honey

Blend all together and enjoy 🙂

 

Banana caramel 

  • 1 banana (frozen)
  • Almond milk (as much as you would like)
  • 5 dates soaked overnight

Blend together and enjoy 🙂

Vege/berry delight 

  • 1/2 cup of frozen berries
  • 1/2 cup-1 cup of spinach
  • almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of barley grass powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cacao powder

 

 

Blend together and enjoy 🙂
